Abstract

The narrator of this interview, Dr. Harriet Husted Wooten, is a retired physician who provided health care in Greenville, North Carolina for many years. In this interview, she discusses her family history and preparatory education before she attended medical school, her experiences at the University of Maryland, and the health care services that she provided in Pitt County during her years of service. The information contained within this interview is relevant to the years 1923 to 2001.

Herbert M. Hadley served as General Secretary of Friends World Committee in Birmingham, England, from 1956-1962, then moved to Philadelphia to head the FWCC American Section until his retirement in 1980.
